Alors que Milovan Rajevac a quitté son poste de sélectionneur de l'équipe du Ghana, Marcel Desailly semble se rapprocher un peu plus chaque jour du poste, et devrait remplacer le Serbe. "Toutes les parties semblent OK sur mon projet, du ministre au président de la Fédération, mais il faut attendre", explique l'ancien défenseur de l'équipe de France, dans les colonnes de L'Equipe", avant d'ajouter: "je suis disponible, on doit maintenant parler argent, savoir comment on fonctionne".

Desailly espérait mettre un terme à ses jours au Qatar, mais après avoir échoué, un accord est maintenant souhaité pour devenir entraîneur. Le vainqueur de la Coupe du Monde de France et du Championnat d’Europe n’a pas caché son ambition de passer à la direction du club et tiendra des discussions avec le football ghanéen.
