 La punition infligée à "l’insulteur public" depuis quelques jours, a pris fin. En effet Assane Diouf qui était en isolement suite à un différend avec un garde pénitentiaire, est retourné dans sa cellule «sans faire de vague».

 Selon le journal «Les Echos» qui donne l’information,  le maton en question est un disciple de Cheikh Béthio et n’avait pas du tout apprécié les sorties d'Assane Diouf qui avait traité de tous les noms d’oiseaux son marabout.
 
Le parquet de Dakar, dans un réquisitoire définitif transmis au Doyen des juges, avait demandé à ce dernier de renvoyer M. Diouf au tribunal correctionnel pour troubles à l’ordre public, injures par le biais d’un système informatique, outrage à un ministre du culte et diffamation.
